The Institute of EcoTourism
A person & place celebrating Sedona's finest environmental efforts.
Created:  Friday, May 16, 2008
After watching the Oscar winning documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth", Christopher Lane decided there was more he could do with the gift he's been given. And that gift is his voice. An award winning poet, Mr. Lane raised greater awareness of the power of the spoken word and poetry to northern Arizona in 2002 with the creation of a non-profit organization called NORAZ Poets. Since then poetry has even grown into public schools and retirement communities all over Arizona. " that's done, I think I'll move on to make an even greater impact.", says Mr. Lane.

Enter, a place to celebrate Sedona's finest environmental efforts. In 2008 began broadcasting over it's website various businesses, organizations and individuals whose eco-efforts deserve recognition and celebration. works closely in conjunction with the Institute of Eco-Tourism's "Green Concierge Project", of which Mr. Lane is the Project Manager.

"Truly, our greatest impact on how well we change our environment relies on how well we change ourselves.", says Mr. Lane. "Outer experience is a direct reflection of inner if I'm doing my best to reduce, reuse and recycle, chances are I'm working on bettering myself as well."

Mr. Lane has a gorgeous wife named Akasha with a glorious son named Oren and one on the way in October. Mr. Lane also attends the University of Santa Monica's Masters Degree program in Psychology.
